FAITHFUL FRIDAYS

in today's society we are expected to do things all on our own and made to feel terrible when we can't. the one thing that seems to escape us is being before God on our knees-being before God, aware that we are helpless and allowing Him to assist us

can you say to Jesus, " this burden's too heavy for me, i want you to be my co-worker. i want you to carry this burden with me. i cannot do it any longer." He says if you will come to Him, if you'll allow Him to carry that burden with you, His promise is that you will receive rest.

surrendering our life to Christ means going to Him and saying " i'm yours; use me however you want to." once you've done this, you can begin to seek His will for you life.

once we're honest with ourselves about who we are, then God can begin to remold our hearts....in total surrender.

matthew 11:28-29 come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and i will give you rest

take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest in your souls. for My yoke is easy and my burden is light.

psalm 81:6-7 " I removed his shoulder from the burden; his hands were freed from the baskets.

you call in trouble, and i delivered you; I answered you in the secret place of thunder; I tested you in the waters of meribah.

galatians 6: 2 bear one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

I love that it is not me working all by myself with my strength and power alone to do what is right. But God gave me the gift of His Holy Spirit to be my helper. It is his Spirit that works with my spirit to help me change and regenerate into the likeness of Christ Jesus.
