TAKING THE PLUNGE

there are many times in life when we take the plunge so to speak. getting married: deciding to have children: buying a new house are just a few. well i took the plunge. no i am not pregnant and i am not buying a house. i am going to go back to school. it has been 16 years since i have been in college. i hopefully start in january. i have applied for the nursing program at the college. they have alot of candidates so i might not get in the first round. i had to take assessment exams to see if i even qualify. well i passed those but not with great scores. it is amazing how much you can forget when you have not been in school. i really felt dumb. but i did pass and the next step is to take three prerequisites. if i can get straight "A"s in those i have a better chance of making into the program in january. i also have to write an essay explaining why i want to go into nursing. i am blessed to be able to use my husbands military GI bill. without it i would probably never go back to school. i am feeling alot of emotions- scared, excited, nervous, and guilty. i have alittle guilt because i will have to put neylan into child care. the thought of going to child care excites neylan though. i guess it will better prepare her for school next year. i will need alot of prayers through this whole thing.
